Serene and Peaceful Hair Makeover at Shunji Matsuo Green (Grandstand)
If you’ve managed to catch the Sudio x Shunji Matsuo video (below) that went viral on Facebook recently, you would have caught a glimpse of the Shunji Matsuo Green, the hair salon located at the Grandstand.
Well, both Peps and I were quite impressed by the interior of the salon, and because we didn’t manage to feature too much of the layout in our video, I decided to shift my sister’s pre-wedding hair makeover to the Grandstand instead of my usual Shunji Matsuo @ Ngee Ann City, so that I can feature the gorgeous interior design.
Shunji Matsuo Green @ The Grandstand
Located at the Grandstand, the salon is a serene place best for anyone who wish to enjoy a long and proper hair cut, hair treatment or even hair makeover.
When I first stepped into the place, I was surprised by the amount of greenery and plants within the salon. Every corner gives a different vibe and you feel like you are in a different place every time you change a corner!
They even have this little princess mirror for any princess-wannabe to take their selfies~
The Green and Brown colour schemes makes the salon feel like a modern forest or even a mini garden!
As Shunji Matsuo Green is further away from town, unlike Shunji Matsuo @ Ngee Ann City, the salon is pretty quiet, making it a wonderful place to chill and enjoy your treatments!
Pre-Wedding Makeover for Shirleyn
As I shared in the previous pre-wedding hair makeover article, both my sister and brother are getting married this year and now, it’s my sister’s turn to get her hair done for her bridal photoshoot!
I got Ah Bean from Shunji Matsuo Green to be in charge of her hair makeover. As my sister rarely dyes her hair, she was worried if the colour will be too bright or dull. After a long consultation and repeated reassuring by the patient hair stylist, she finally settled on a copper brown.
Shirleyn did not do any bleaching as her hair is pretty fragile and she did not want them to tangle even more. However, as she might have scratched her scalp prior to the hair dye, she got a weird burning sensation when the dye was left on her hair.
What Ah Bean did was to use Shiseido Scalp Care cream on her scalp to sooth her burning sensation.
As compared to other colours, shades of brown are longer lasting as compared to bright colours like red, blue, purple.
Here’s some photos of her hair during her bridal photoshoot in Taiwan. With her hair coloured copper, the hair style make her look really Korean-ish!
This is my favourite photo!
